Welcome to the design portfolio page of Sean Berry. Scroll down to see my work.

Sadly, I'm not a web developer (i.e., programmer), or this site might have been somewhat more functional. What I do do well is print. Old-school, one-letter-at-a-time, ink and ivory board. An advanced knowledge of computer-aided design has sped things up considerably, but the fundamentals of design for print have never changed.

Please feel free to send a message with any questions you may have regarding techniques employed, materials, employment offers and the like.

And if you are one of the latter, I am available to start immediately (at the date of this update - 11/2/2019).
New Zealand School of Dance

Spot metallic ink, matt laminate and UV overgloss. I press-passed the job which was challenging, chiefly because it was a full-colour job being run through a 2-colour press. Colour-matching the spreads was an intensive process, though yielding an excellent result.
Other material produced for NZSD included posters, flyers, periodical advertising, online advertising and social media imagery, all produced to rigorous branding and creative guidelines.
Dental Council of New Zealand

Annual Reports 2014-2017.

Sole designer responsible for delivery of the product for four consecutive years.
I enjoy working on long-format documents, and the Dental Council's clean, no-nonsense branding guidelines were a pleasure to work with.

Bottled water label for Tranzscenic Railways New Zealand

Pride in print gold award recipient and supreme award finalist.

Roll-fed, kiss cut, CMYK one side, proprietary 3-colour full-colour treatment on reverse side.
The 'proprietary process' is actually nothing more than a process that uses 300% CMY coverage to cancel out the need for theK separation. Something I have been using since my early days in publishing when film and plates could be left out of the process to save money on printing.
